Joel Madden Chats with MTV About Baby
Joel Madden spoke with MTV yesterday. He talked about the paparazzi, the baby shower (it is this Sunday!), and his and Nicole’s new charity.
Joel had this to say:
“Instead of accepting any more gifts, we told people to give to the L.A. Free Clinic, and we got a bunch of companies to give a bunch of strollers and cribs and things like that,” he told us. “We’ve had opportunities and know that we’re very blessed, and we couldn’t imagine having a baby and not being as blessed as we are. We’re just trying to help out some other young couples, and the L.A. Free Clinic — which provides healthcare, prenatal care and job opportunities for free — is the most amazing place I’ve ever seen.”
Nicole and Joel just started the Richie Madden Children’s Foundation, which will raise funds for underprivileged kids and their families.
“[The baby will] change everything … but it won’t,” Joel said. “We’re a family, and it’s just a new addition to the family. I have no idea what to expect but I know it’s gonna be great things. It’s exciting.”
