Nicole Richie admits to having a hard time being a apart of “Young Hollywood” where you are always in the tabloids and friends will sell you out for a little more fame.

Socialite NICOLE RICHIE is learning to distance herself from fairweather friends who talk to the press about her. The 25-year-old admits it hurts when people she thought were pals sell her out to the tabloid media. She says, “This year, my biggest struggle has been realising that some people close to me are not good for my life. “I’m a girl and I love to gossip, but when I hear that people I consider friends are talking about me, it hurts a lot. “It’s not, ‘Is Nicole OK?’ but more like, ‘I heard that Nicole blah-blah.’ “There are a handful of girls who are the subject of every joke.”
Nicole has had her shares of ups and downs (her jail sentencing is coming up soon!), but she has definitely grown and matured over the past few years. It showed when she was on Letterman and refused to speak about certain aspects of Paris and Paris’ jail sentence!
