Nicole Richie Dines with Mary-Kate Olsen

People spotted Nicole Richie having dinner with a male friend and Mary-Kate Olsen at the Chateau Marmont on Wednesday.

Nicole happily chowed down on halibut, carrots and fries while Mary-Kate didn’t eat and smoked cigarettes the entire time.

I wish there were pics of this somewhere! I also wonder why Nicole and MK were eating together. I know they’re friends, but never pegged them as close ones.
