Nicole Richie Enters Alcohol Education Program
Part of Nicole Richie’s sentence was to enter an alcohol education program. According to Access Hollywood, Nicole enrolled in one earlier this week.
She signed up for an 18-month anti-drinking and driving course known as the Multiple Offender Drinking Driver Program for “people who have been convicted of DUI of alcohol or drugs on more than one occasion within a 7 year period.”
The program will consist of 52 hours of counseling, bi-weekly interviews and 12 hours of alcohol education.
Good for Nicole!

What is all the fuss over this woman/child? What has she ever achieved except appearing in tabloids, gossip magazines and on sites like this for indulging in behaviour which shows deep seated psychological problems? So she has enrolled in an alcohol education program - only because the law has enforced such. As far as I’m concerned, she got off very lightly. She put other people’s lives at risk and all she gets is a smack on the hand. No jail - like I’m sure the rest of us would get if we engaged in the same serial behaviour.
She is a hard-partying, drug addicted, alcoholic who hasn’t even got the guts to admit publicly that she has suffered from an eating disorder. What kind of example is this to normal teenage girls who are constantly bombarded with articles which hold her up as some kind of style icon - someone to be admired?
Now she is pregnant - god knows how that happened considering how underweight she was -she is suddenly a reformed character. “The baby has saved my life”, I’m off the drugs, I eat every hour, Joel’s given up smoking because of the baby, etc, etc.
Let’s hope that she really is able to maintain a healthy way of living for the child’s sake as it certainly had no say in choosing its parents. Pregnancy is the easy bit. Bringing up a real live human being from infancy to adulthood is the ultimate challenge. For the first time in her life, she’s going to have to put someone else first. Is she up to it? Let’s hope so for the child’s sake…
The Breakfast Club » Little Lindsay Lohans shouldn’t be partying on school time - Times Union Blog - Albany NY

[…] Schools are not parties, and evidently there should not be miniature versions of Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie, or Paris Hilton sashaying through the hallways. May the breathalyzer trend keep growing in schools […]
