Nicole Richie To Serve Four Days in Jail

Nicole Richie was sentenced to four days in jail earlier today. She gets to choose whether she will serve her sentence in City or County Jail.
She received a full day credit for the six hours she served after getting arrested in December.
Richie was also fined $2,048, must attend 21 days of an alcohol education program and will be on probation for three years.
Nicole must report to serve her time by September 28th.
Additionally, the commissioner warned Richie that if she drives under the influence again, she could potentially kill someone and be charged for murder. After her first conviction, Richie agreed to an upgrade from manslaughter to murder on potential future charges.
A source close to Richie said that Nicole “stoic and serious, but not emotional” at the hearing. Joel Madden escorted Nicole into and out of the courthouse.
