Nicole Richie’s Special Baby Diet

According to Star Magazine, even though Nicole has been clean and sober for quite some time, she knows that even the slightest relapse could harm the baby. That’s why she checked into rehab in May – it was just a precaution.

Nicole has also been working hard to put on weight for the baby. She was spotted eating pizza in a mall in Maryland — and readers Jen and Mary can attest to that!

Joel Madden has also been super-supportive throughout this entire thing, despite being short with the press.
“Joel’s doing everything he can to get Nicole to eat more, for herself and the baby,” and insider tells Star.

Of course, while there is no proof Nicole is even on a “special” pregnancy diet, Star felt the need to go talk to a nutritionist.

“Nicole is a very thin person,” says Bybee. “It’s recommended a woman gain 25 ponds during her pregnancy, but I wouldn’t be worried if Nicole gained 30 pounds or more.”

Bybee says Nicole should “consume at least 40 to 50 grams of cabs and 20 grams of protein per meal.” However, Nicole should stick to healthy goodies, because they are what is best for the baby. That means no sushi, Nicole!

“She especially shouldn’t eat tuna because of the high mercury levels in the fish,” Bybee cautions. “I’d also avoid it if she breast-feeds.”

    NICOLE better gain some weight or the baby will not be healthy. nicole you can do it. if you dont you may not even have a baby. stop drinking ,dont do drugs and gain weight…do it for you and the baby.and who ever the father is. even i hate nicole but im happy for her.
