Rumor: Nicole Richie & Mary-Kate Olsen Are Fighting

Joel Madden was spotted in New York City hanging out with Mary-Kate Olsen last weekend. Despite the fact the photos looked innocent–the two were hanging out on Good Charlotte’s tour bus, in clear view of photographers, Life & Style is reporting that Nicole Richie is very upset over this.
“After the concert, Joel invited her back to see the tour bus,” their source claims. “He showed her some baby photos of Harlow. Joel isn’t one to lie or hide things from Nicole, so the next day he told her about it on the phone.”
Despite Joel’s honesty, Nicole apparently freaked out. She supposedly doesn’t want Joel hanging out with MK–even though it’s fairly well known that Nicole and Mary-Kate are friends.
“Joel thought she’d respect the fact that he was trying to be honest — after all, he and Mary-Kate are just friends — but Nicole was hurt and angry,” their source continues. “He couldn’t deal with it, so he hung up, and she kept texting him after that.”
I find this story really hard to believe. Every single time that Joel’s spotted with a girl–Lindsay Lohan or anyone else in Young Hollywood–the tabloids use it as a story about Nicole and Joel’s relationship trouble.
