Joel Madden is one of several celebrities starring in the new “Back to School” campaign for OP, the laid-back surfer-style clothing line.

Annalynne McCord, Sophia Bush, Solange Knowles, Brody Jenner and Cody Linley all appear alongside Joel in the “OPen Campus” campaign, which features the stars getting ready for the upcoming school year, hanging out on the OP bus, cheering on their favorite team in the school’s bleachers and more. The campaign was shot at UCLA by Larry Bartholomew. The same group of stars appeared in OP’s summer campaign, which was called “Summer of Music.”

Joel Madden was on Last Call with Carson Daly last night and had the opportunity to interview Snoop Dogg! Joel and Carson have become quite close over the past few years, ever since Carson was the host of TRL on MTV and Joel and his brother Benji occasionally stop by his talk show.

Joel talked to Snoop about his upcoming summer tour, titled Blazed & Confused. It’s a brief video, but I love the idea of Joel being a correspondent for Carson!

Snoop will be on tour all summer. Joel’s been busy in music himself, Good Charlotte’s new album Cardiology drops this summer.

Below is a brief video of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden gearing up to take their daughter Harlow to a play date with a friend. It’s great Nicole and Joel are friends with other parents of young children - it means Harlow will have lots of friends and opportunities to socialize as she gets older.

I must admit, though, that the giant SUV-like jeep bothers me. Nicole is currently involved in efforts to make Los Angeles schools more environmentally friendly. Nicole also tries very hard to make sure Harlow eats organically and that their home is as green as possible. Hopefully changing their means of transportation is next.

The video is about the band members being vampires or something else from the night. Joel is in the video quite a bit, sharing the stage with the band and just jamming to the music!

Lost is an Italian pop rock band, who came together in 2003. They are now one of the biggest bands in Italy and will be touring across the continent all summer. “Sulla Mia Pelle” quickly became the #1 video on Italian MTV. Joel expressed his pleasure about this when he twittered “”Sulla mia Pelle” is already #1 on MTV italy. Very cool. Happy for LOST. they are great guys…..”

Nicole loves the video, twittering “what can I say. He speaks english, sings in Italian & kisses in french. He’s a worldly man.”

Yesterday afternoon, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were spotted heading into a friend’s birthday party that after noon.

Earlier in the day, they were seen at American Girl Place at the Grove. Could it be they were picking up a last minute gift for their pal?

Joel wants Emile to come to the rescue because he believes in Emile. He thinks Emile is a great role model and has campaigned tirelessly to improve conditions in Africa and has donated countless hours to charity.

The video is actually a promo piece for the charity Invisible Children and April 25th is their official day of action. Invisible Children is a charity that works to raise awareness about child soldiers all over the world. This program is designed to raise awareness about sexually transmitted diseases among young adults. MTV is partnered with Kaiser Family Foundation, Planned Parenthood, Viral Online Media, SMS Testing Locator, and In-Clinic Outreach.

Joel Madden has been spending a lot of time at his store for DCMA Collective this past week. He’s been going in nearly every day while he has been home in Los Angeles. Benji’s been there a lot too. It’s great to see them so invested in their business.

In the video below, Benji takes a cigarette break outside the store with a few friends during the afternoon of March 26th. Joel was around the store that day too, but doesn’t appear in the video.

I’m really disappointed to find out Benji’s smoking and just hope he doesn’t do it in front of Harlow, or Nicole now that she’s pregnant again! It also makes me wonder if Joel’s still given up smoking. I hope so!

Joel Madden and his brother Benji were on Larry King Live last night. They talked about their recent trip to Africa, their current involvement with UNICEF and their pet project of the moment, the Tap Project.

Joel talks about different ways to get involved with Tap Project. Participating restaurants have partnered with the Tap Project, where you pay $1 or $2 for the tap water you drink anyways and the proceeds go towards ensuring children in Africa have access to safe and clean drinking water.
