The National Enquirer is desperate to know the intimate details of Nicole Richie’s pregnancy, like the sex of the baby. Since Nicole and Joel aren’t budging, they have to settle for knowing what sort of cravings she’s been having lately - and apparently, Nicole has been wanting pickles.

I have no idea how much truth is in this story, but I thought it was funny, so I’m sharing it. Nicole and Joel were out for lunch a few weeks ago and Nicole wanted some pickles to go, the tabloid’s source claims. Joel went inside the cafe to get some and came back with the wrong kind of pickles.

(First, can someone actually get pickles to go? Second, cafes offer multiple kinds of pickles to take out? Third, what kind of pickles, National Enquirer?)

“After enjoying lunch with Harlow at Beverly Hills deli Nate ‘n Al, Nicole told Joel she wanted some pickles to go. Joel popped back in the eatery and came out seconds later with the goods,” the tabloid’s source said. “Nicole told him, ‘These aren’t the right ones,’ and sent him back. Joel finally got the order right the second time round.”

I don’t know if this is true and honestly, it really doesn’t matter. It’s such an insignificant and inconsequential story that I cannot believe the Enquirer actually published it.

A few weeks ago, rumors were flying that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were expecting twins. Those rumors have shifted gears a bit, and now everyone thinks the couple is expecting a brother for their daughter Harlow.

“Joel bought water-based paint for the nursery and - surprise, surprise - it’s blue,” a source told In Touch Weekly.

That’s not all - the same source claims that Nicole just ordered some toys and baby items from FAO Schwarz. Her color of choice? Blue!

I’m not taking any of these boy/twins/girl rumors seriously until either Nicole herself tells us what they’re having or the baby is born. However, until then, it’s pretty fun to guess!

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are gearing up for their Funny or Die premiere. The couple is starring in a video with High School Musical stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, and Queen Latifah, Lance Bass, Carmen Electra, Brody Jenner and Nicole Sullivan.

The segment is rumored to be related to Zac’s upcoming movie, 17 Again. Very little is known about the clip, but E! Online is reporting that Sullivan plays a “white trash girl” and Queen Latifah drives a Rolls Royce in it.

Nicole twittered about the filming, writing “Just shot FunnyOrDie with Zac Efron. Me and VHud are besties.”

Hopefully the video will premiere on Funny or Die soon. I’m excited to see what it’s all about!

This is the most dubious rumor I’ve heard in a while, but X17 Online is claiming an “inside source” revealed to them that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are pregnant with twins.

“They’re expecting twins,” the source says. “They’re really excited about having three children.”

I seriously doubt the validity of this, but if it is true, that would be amazing! Twins would be adorable and would be doubly special for Nicole and Joel. Joel is a twin himself, meaning he’d have a special bond he’d share with his children. Nicole has always said she wants twins, so imagine her joy if it came true!

The National Enquirer is reporting that Nicole Richie and MTV reality star Tila Tequila got in quite the tiff at a post-Oscar party when Tila tried to make a pass at Nicole’s boyfriend Joel Madden.

“As soon as Tila saw Joel, she ran up to him and started acting super flirty - grabbing and hugging him,” an eyewitness told the magazine.

At first, Nicole shrugged it off, but apparently Tila wouldn’t let it drop and Joel was enjoying the attention. Once Nicole realized Tila wasn’t going away, she took matters into her own hands.

“Nicole had her back turned, but when she realized that Tila was all over him, she ran up and yelled, ‘Joel… JOEL!!’” the eyewitness explained. “When he didn’t respond right away, Nicole pulled Joel away to their table.”

Apparently, the run-in doesn’t event end there. Tila approached Joel again and Nicole just lost it.

“That was the last straw for Nicole,” the source claims. “She got right in Tila’s face and screamed ‘Back off and get out of here!’”

I find the National Enquirer pretty hard to believe. Nicole and Joel are celebrating their second pregnancy and Tila Tequila is hardly someone you need to worry about.

But I can see there is a possibility something happened and it was blown completely out of proportion for the tabloid. Maybe Tila was acting flirty. Maybe Nicole did ask her to back off. Regardless, te tabloids aren’t exactly the place to go for reliable information.

Rumors were flying this week that Nicole Richie was shopping a family-oriented reality show that would follow her life as a busy mother and girlfriend to rock star Joel Madden.

The rumors even went so far to claim that Benji Madden and Lionel Richie had signed on to do regular guest appearances!

These reports seemed very unlike Nicole and Joel, as both of them in the past talked about how stupid and invasive they thought celebrity reality programming was. In the end, these rumors were proven to be false.

OK Magazine called Nicole’s rep and asked for a quote about the rumors.

The rep scoffed at them, calling them “unsubstantiated. This is false reporting.”

Frankly, I’m glad these rumors proved to be false. Nicole and Joel have so many projects on the go now and are photographed so often, they don’t really need the exposure of a reality-show on some D-list cable channel.

And it really wouldn’t be fair to put Harlow through that, especially when she’s too young to understand what’s going on.

Star Magazine is reporting that Nicole Richie is in the process of securing a reality show deal. The concept revolves around her being a working mother and the girlfriend of a rockstar.

“Nicole wants the world to know what it’s like to be a working mom with a rock star boyfriend,” their source claims.

Uncle Benji and Grandpa Lionel have reportedly signed on to make guest appearances.

There’s no word on which television network is interested in picking up the show.

While Nicole is no stranger to reality television, she appeared in five seasons of The Simple Life with best friend Paris Hilton, I seriously doubt there is any truth to this rumor. Nicole said in a past interview the reason she liked doing The Simple Life so much was because it was filmed away from her home and away from her real life. She didn’t have to bring any of her friends and family into the public sphere.

Given that, why would she want to do that to her daughter, Harlow?

Additionally, I think we are a little saturated with celebrity-themed reality shows right now. Nicole and Joel seem far to normal to be the kind of interesting these shows need to garner enough viewership.

The National Enquirer is reporting that Benji Madden wants his ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton back. He’s apparently been regreting their break-up and has spent the past few weeks wallowing in self-pity, constantly calling and texting Paris and complaining about it to Nicole and Joel.

The magazine says that Paris made it clear the couple is over and that Benji needs to move on.

“Now that Benji realizes Paris has gone with her life, he’s consumed by heartache,” their source claims.

Nicole and Joel have tried to be supportive, but have had enough. With Paris threatening to change her phone number to force Benji to stop calling, Nicole had to have a sit down with Joel’s twin.

“Joel and Nicole finally had to sit Benji down and show him some tough love by telling him they don’t want to hear it anymore,” the source claims.

While The National Enquirer is not the most reliable source, I can see a version of this story playing out. Good for Paris for sticking it to Benji and good for Nicole to not put up with his wallowing.

Star Magazine is reporting that Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are ready to expand their family and are looking to start trying right away. It’s their cover story for this week’s issue. They look at “the moment she told Joel,” “her pregnancy diet” and whether they want “a boy or a girl-or both!”

“Nicole simply told Joel that she wants another baby —right away,” a source tells the magazine. “He was a little overwhelmed at first, but now he’s with her 100 percent. They’re both thrilled about adding to their family.”

They also claim that things are better than ever for the couple and Nicole believes that having another baby will only strengthen their bond.

I know Nicole wants a large family, but this rumor circulates nearly as often as the wedding rumor does. While I think this rumor is silly, you can read all about their baby-making plans in the January 12 issue, which is on sale now.

The National Enquirer is reporting that big changes are coming in Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s lives-that they are planning on getting married and settling down in Maryland, Joel’s home state.

According to the mag, the twosome are planning a spring wedding that will also act as a goodbye to LA party. The guest list will be a who’s who of young Hollywood and everyone from Paris Hilton to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen to Lindsay Lohan will be in attendance.

I think this is a load of crap. Nicole has been open about her desire to take on more acting roles and both have companies with bases in Los Angeles. That, combined with the fact this is the four hundred thousandth rumor about a Richie-Madden wedding, makes me think their “source” has no idea what they are talking about.

However, if Nicole and Joel did want to move out of LA, Maryland would be a good choice. Joel’s family is there and it’s far away from the media spotlight.
